Litigation Nurse

Lamson Dugan & Murray LLP defends nurses, hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice cases. We are seeking a Litigation Nurse to support the malpractice team through all aspects of the litigation process from information gathering and case assessment through trial preparation.

The Litigation Nurse will be responsible for summarizing and analyzing medical records to identify facts relevant to the strengths and weaknesses of the medical evidence, analyzing pertinent medical literature, identifying and working with potential medical expert witnesses and assisting clients and experts in preparation for testifying by deposition and at trial.

We require a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and are especially interested in candidates with obstetrical experience.

Other requirements include:

  • excellent communication skills,
  • strong attention to detail,
  • ability to handle strict deadlines and juggle multiple tasks with ease.
  • working knowledge of medical terminology and medical chronologies
  • Experience in personal injury or medical malpractice is preferred.
